Is latex body paint and liquid latex used in most mask the same thing? I need to order latex for a mask I'm making and I wanted to know if liquid latex and body paint latex is pretty much the same. Like will they do the same job. |
| no, latex paint is like acrylic paint (as opposed to oil paint.) It's thin and colored and made for painting. Liquid latex for making masks is thick like a rubber Halloween mask. You brush it on in layers, and then it dries as flexible rubber. call customer service before you order to make sure what you're getting. www . sculpt . com has all that kind of stuff and a great tech support phone line. |
Is sulfur that is contained in Latex body paint the same as sulfa? I am planning on doing some paint art on my body with latex body paint and I realized it contained sulfur. I took these antibiotic pills for my skin called sulfa, and I was very allergic to it. Are they both the same thing? I need to know this before I start this process. Thank you. |
Yes they are from the same family of sulfonamides though they are chemical compound is different and unrelated. internally may not mean you will be allergic to it on your skin. You could try a small test area several hours before you put it on the rest of your body. You can be allergic or become allergic to anything at any time.
Check this out on wikipeda.

Evzoo,
For that much paint you'd have to buy online. The kits art/crafts stores sell are for small designs. Call the art stores in your business phone book and ask if they have enough for that. |

Has anyone used clear latex body paint on their skin? I'm guessing it gives your skin a shiny plastic look without changing your skin color. Is this correct? |
| Actually it has a flesh tone to it and is semi transparent. I know it says clear but that isnt the case.I have used it and have clear latex garments also and they all have the same coloration. |
